Ozgur OZDEMIR, chairman of JCI Eskisehir Office 2008, conducts his activities during his term of office with 39 Members including 7 Members of Board. After JCI Eskisehir General Assembly in July 2007, starts to plan for his period work in August 2007, with this scope gathering a Strategy Meeting and develops annual activity plans. (Photo1)

Annual activities includes plenary meetings first Wednesday each month, a fortnightly Happy Hours organization, weekly arranged sport activities, educational activities on 3rd Wednesday each month and LOM projects.

The tasks are distributed equally and fair that the other members can also take part actively at the organizations, thus 15 members out of the board have taken an active role. Thus participatory, collaborative management style has identified where the present number of members participate actively to all activities. The number of the members at the beginning of the year raises to 39, in this manner 9 new qualified members are provided to participate our JCI Eskişehir family.

Due to having a leader, entrepreneur and manager personality, has attracted attention with his well behavior, posture, attitude and warm communications in contact with people in- and outside of the association and with a warm relation either to the executive committee or members at the Office. The current reputation of JCI Eskisehir is increased obviously and the year 2008 is the year of JCI Eskisehir after all of those lived difference and new things. He has taken measure against the possible negativities that may occur during and after the projects and organizations by his foresight ability, and due to his fair assignment of responsibility and authority he has shown an example leadership behavior.
His tremendous energy structure, willingness has been an example to his all team members and has increased their motivation by new advance. He makes feel his leading at every project and organization, from the beginning to the end to, and even in later years. His believe and assistance to JCI associations and JCI Eskisehir is at such a very high level that his social business life is almost integrated to this association. (Photo2)
During his work period he has shown a transparent, participatory and supportive management at JCI Eskişehir, and a work style where his team colleagues and the members of the management committee is able to work more effectively and feel their importance in the team.

He has endeavored in order to represent JCI Eskisehir Office to more and more people, has a talk repeatedly to Eskişehir Governorship, Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Universities, Municipalities (Photo3) and all non-governmental organizations (eg ESİAD, ESGİAD, EGEV, AIESEC, AEGEE)and provides new collaborates.

Indicatively, the real success of a manager concealed on the details, he launches for the first time the SMS system ,one of the fastest communication system, in order to increase the participations to the organizations. In addition, with the main theme "sharing makes the days special? he celebrates their special days of the JCI Turkey members via SMS on their birthday, anniversary, holidays, etc...

President Özgür is the best example for that a real manager has to be interested in socail life of his team members.

He has been always successful by solving the problems of the members not only about the association but also their own personal problems, like a friend and a confidant ever, due to show the warmness and make them really feel the sincerity of the importance of their families. the special days of the family members are congratulated, their children are encouraged after their successful report card with some surprise gifts.

However, the first Entrepreneurship Academy Project is hold with only 16 participations in 2002, it becomes another kind of importance after Özgür elected as a President and thanks to his PR studies, the participations number raises from 16 to 476 on his first Entrepreneurship Academy Project on 2003. On his Office President time he has gathered 874 participations including students and also businessmen to the 7th Entrepreneurship Academy Organization. With each passing year 3 days lasting Educational seminars students are well informed about ?Knowledge Economy? and get the opportunity to meet the businessmen. JCI Eskisehir is published to whole city with an extraordinary advertisement.
The name ?Junior Chamber International? is registered by Eskişehir Office National Entrepreneurship Academy thanks to our President thus our office owns the registered project. This is the first time that a Project gets a registration.

The Creator of Institutional Sponsorship

All kind of costs of the stationary are sponsored by Onur Kırtasiye and the other kind of press and printed paper works are sponsored by Kağıtçılık Matbaacılık thus we are able to fund a 2.000 ytl for stationary and 3.500 ytl for pressed material to our budget. President Özgür who has an Entrepreneurship in his soul, has been the first person that brings sponsorships to an institution.

The visits to public institutions and non-governmental institutions are shared with the local press. The press is invited to our visits to give information about our activities by our PR director.

Creating JCI Eskisehir Facebook site is also the first time, so that all kind of communication ways are used to reach our members but also to new affiliates and inform them about all activities and the organizations. President Özgür has been reached to ten thousands with our activities photos, invitations and JCI vision and mission, via using the popular communication ways.

Child face and hand figures are drawn with a relief technique and hatched with an Atatürk figure on a school wall in our city at the 3rd annual organization, thus a raising interest on art on the pupils is planned.

We bring the City?s leading Industrialists and Businessmen to our members and affiliates together and let them share their experiences. Arranging the General Assembly on every first Wednesdays of each month and with a presentation to the Industrialists and Businessmen at the 2nd part of the meeting we provide the property of the meetings.

Training
The necessary trainings are defined with a survey holding on strategic plan process and organized all of the personal development opportunities are organized under these studies. These trainings are arranged on every 3rd Wednesdays each month so that a rhythmic and systematic trainings keeps go on.

Eskisehir Training Institue
The first meeting has made with the PRIME holder trainers and trainees on 11 June 2008 in order to determine the aims and takes the first steps towards. (Photo3) The name is defined as Eskisehir Training Institute with a detailed meeting on 7 September 2008 and the first director has been appointed thus its lead the way on his work time at JCI Eskisehir and the training office has been official established.

c-INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITY FIELDS

Indian Project (Photo4)
Indian has shown a big interest on our JCI Eskisehir Stand as the other countries on the 62nd JCI World Congress on 5-10 November 2007 where our city is culturally and industrially informed to all JCI member countries. The young Indian entrepreneurs have kept a warm contact to our stand.
We have started to a common work after some conversations and advertisements. Showing a big entrepreneurship we have signed a partnership and corporation agreement with JCI India, and embark on an enterprise for a twining agreement between our Office and JCI New Delhi.

JCI Aarhus contacts
We have kept a successful conversation with Soren Huvendick, member of JCI Aarhus, Denmark, coming to Turkey for eventual business opportunities. All of these show how our President Özgür Özdemir can turn small opportunities to big one.

d- BUSINESS WORLD OPPORTUNITIES FIELD

İŞKOM (Business Committee)
Özgür Özdemir is one of the founder of the Business Committee, founded on 2007 by our Office, provides its projects keep go on. One of the projects in 2008 is the ARSA project, has developed at Business Committee Meetings thus takes step between members for a corporation.

CONCLUSION:

I have taken an active role in this organization since 1995, in this organization, I have experienced such tragic things, my main idea is always that this association will get an important place just with a team spirit, I wrestle with for idea, I was misunderstood everytime and just cause of it I was tried to undermine. President Özgür was the only one who never got angry to those sullen people, he was always the first person stepped aside, he has instilled the association's image, and he is the person laid the base for a planned future of this association.
